“You’re Joking Right?” As part of the “lol, bro” series, this piece is part of an ongoing dissection of the concept of how we use laughter to cope with the ridiculousness in the world. Further, when it comes to disenfranchised groups such as POC this may mean laughing at one’s own demise. Being treated differently is nothing unfamiliar to many POC and in some ways makes them feel like / become targets. This particular piece asks the question: Are children of colour subject to this as well?
